Moss Denver Wedding
One of the things I love about a Moss Denver Wedding is the urban industrial vibes that act as a blank backdrop for the couples personal style. You are free to choose all your own vendors and the venue also requires that you hire a planner/coordinator for your wedding day. At a minimum, hiring a day-of coordinator is one of the best things you can do to keep your day stress free and in my experience your photos are better as a result.
Moss Denver has spaces for both sides of your wedding party to get ready. It is one of the few venues where I find the “guys” space to be the better of the two. It is bigger and has more natural light. The “brides” space has nicer decor but is smaller with a flat yellowish light and no windows. It is still lovely though.
There are two other rooms at Moss. One room has a large moss wall that is usually used for ceremonies. Cocktail hour can be held in the same space or even open dancing! The biggest room is where dinner usually happens as well as dancing for smaller weddings but you could also use it for a ceremony. No doubt the venue has many different configurations that I have not seen before.
There is no nearby green space for portraits but I LOVE doing portraits right outside the building. The alley has murals in it and it is a perfect spot for your group photos. Even the garage doors in the alley will bounce a nice soft light that is very flattering for group photos and portraits. The front of the venue has it’s own industrial charm with some trees and greenery around it. The corner grows huge wildflowers in the summer too and the evening light streams down the street for some fantastic dreamy sun flares (see the first image!).
