Younger Ranch Wedding
If you are considering a Younger Ranch Wedding, there’s so much to love about this beautiful location. The ranch is a historic family-owned business for over 100 years and their love and care for the place shines through in how well-kept everything is. There are wide open pastures with clear views of Pikes Peak in the distance. The huge barn is beautiful inside and has so much space for larger guest lists. The ceremony area is up on a hill with a road and parking lot behind it for easy access for guests. The arbor is pointed directly at Pikes Peak which is great for couples who would like mountain views as a backdrop for their ceremony.
If you plan to get ready onside there is a stunningly decorated barn for one side of the party as well as a tee-pee for the other party to get ready in. Each getting ready area is separated so there with be no accidental sightings before the first look or the ceremony.

Sarah and Matt’s Younger Ranch Wedding began with each party getting read in separate locations. Matt was in a nearby hotel with his groomsmen and father. Sarah was a beautiful Airbnb with some family, friends, and their children. There were lots of details and lots going on so I had a great time exploring and searching for moments and details to photograph. When there are children as part of the wedding there are always lots of extra cute moments to photograph. I find that the prep part of the day is some of my favorite to photograph. There is always excitement in the air and this time gives everybody time to adjust to having a photographer nearby so later in the day they will be much less self-conscious having a camera around.
Once at the wedding at Younger Ranch, I immediately started to look for details and great moments between the guests as they arrived. It was a beautiful sunny Colorado day and guests were dressed in beautiful fun bright colors that perfectly suited the tone of Sarah & Matt’s Younger Ranch Wedding. The whole day ran smoothly thanks to Ali at Prive Event Design. There was a bounce house set up for all the children during cocktail hour, and a string quartet from Innocenti Strings played in the background as the guests mingled with each other.
Once everybody was inside the barn for the reception, the couple and their wedding party entered with lots of energy which set the tone for the rest of the evening. As the newlyweds cut their cake, their daughter and flower girl ran over and interrupted, excited to try the cake for herself. The photo of that moment is one of my favorite cake-cutting moments ever!
