The Pines by Wedgewood Wedding

Megan & Matt’s The Pines by Wedgewood Wedding had some welcome cloud cover, providing everyone with a break from the intense Colorado summer sun. At the same time, that cloud never brought any rain showers, which is also a common thread in Colorado summer weddings.

This was my first visit to The Pines by Wedgewood Weddings, although I have been to several other Wedgewood locations so I knew what to expect. Friendly staff who are organized and know what they are doing. The Pines by Wedgewood is a nice venue, nestled in a quiet spot in the foothills just west of Denver and not far from I-70 making it great for transport links to the city. It’s a fairly large venue with spaces for smaller weddings and large weddings of up to 250 people. According to Wedding Wire, couples can expect to pay $11k - $15k for 100 guests.

For those who like forest vibes and want to be around wildlife but don’t want to travel far into the mountains, this venue may be exactly what you are looking for. Most of the property is filled with Pine trees except for the meadow to the east that looks back toward Denver. You have a pretty good chance of spotting some deer near the ceremony space. There is also a small overlook and wooded area nearby that is perfect for a first look and wedding party photos. With its proximity to Red Rocks and Golden, there is no shortage of hotels and Airbnb’s nearby for your prep photos and any out-of-town guests
