Crested Butte Elopement

Although Colorado is full of mind blowingly beautiful places to elope, if you had to rank them, a Crested Butte Elopement may be one of the most beautiful options out there. You can be right in the middle of Crested Butte and be surrounded by beauty and mountain town charm and just a short hike away you can be on a nice easy trail with scenery that looks like you’ve hiked deep into the backcountry.

Even though you are in a small mountain town, you may find that some of the trail or photo locations have some foot traffic so Alexandra & Jacob chose to elope at sunrise. Even though it was early September, the temperature was still in the low 30s when we arrived at the trailhead so if you are planning for an early start, know that a warm layer is a good idea.

For all the extra effort of waking up early, Alexandra and Jacob got beautiful soft light for their ceremony with the sun kissing the Crested Butte mountain in the background. This is one of the big benefits of a Crested Butte elopement.
