Boulder Engagement Session

Rebecca & Bailey’s Boulder Engagement Session took place on the Red Rocks Trail. It was a warm, cloudy afternoon but there were a few moments where the sun peeked through before it dipped behind the mountains.

Red rocks trail in Boulder is a lovely spot for an engagement session with a fairly short trail to the main rock formations and great views over Boulder. Some considerations for photographers is the trails are somewhat steep and narrow in certain areas so if you are the type of photographer who moves a lot and likes to experiment with various angles you may find you are a little limited compared to other locations. But limitations often just mean more creativity. I brought an extra lens I dont usually use and worked with some areas of dappled light which I loved the look of.

As with much of Colorado the mountains can cut golden hour short so when the light gets really good it is important to maximize the time spent with that dreamy backlight and utilize the evening sun.
